Yellow-Headed Blackbird
|
Come to North Dakota. With more wildlife
refuges than any state in the United States, North Dakota offers an unequaled
experience in birding and wildlife observation.
From the grass prairies and prairie pothole regions to the semi-arid
and rugged Badlands to the aspen forest of the Turtle Mountains, North
Dakota has more than 300 different species of birds. Buffalo Commons
Birding Safaris can help you find them.

and Red-necked Grebes, Prairie Falcon, Eagles, Burrowing
Owls, Yellow-headed Blackbirds, and many more prairie, woodland
and wetland species call North Dakota home.
In addition to the many species of birds, you'll see other wildlife
like Mule Deer, White-tailed Deer, Pronghorn Antelope,
moose, elk, coyotes, fox and other species
of mammals. Many reptiles and amphibians also may be seen.
